Every choir is unique, and since most groups come to us after having been formed for a while, you probably already have a particular way of doing things - and that's great! But maybe you're a little unclear on how to start integrating Choir Genius into your group.

A typical children's choir configuration will focus on 4 main items:
- Parent accounts - enabling parent accounts allows you to link parents with their child - both for organizational purposes, and allowing parents to "masquerade" as their child to make updates to music, event attendance, etc without having to login as the child. Other commonly used features include:
- Mailing lists - make sure everyone stays informed with member mailing lists, or have a list to reach board members without having to make sure you include every email address in a chain of emails. Here is the tutorial on setting up mailing lists.
- Riser placements - create standing arrangements by dragging and dropping members into riser spots. View by voice part, voice type, height or name. Here is the tutorial for creating riser placements and changing the default settings.
- Documents - upload membership handbooks, competition information, and coaching notes in an organized area for members and leadership. Create private document areas for your management team. Here is the tutorial on creating documents.
- Music learning - track learning progress of songs. If you have an approval process for learning songs (such as uploading recordings for note checking), you can also customize learning states and who can move members form one state to the next. Here is the tutorial for customizing music learning.

You may want to consider adding a public site add on package if you haven't already.
A common concern for choirs is having a space to advertise your performances, or to let people know how they can join your group.
